(July 2, 2003) - Sybase, Inc. has announced Appeon™ 2.5 for PowerBuilder, the first comprehensive solution of its kind to allow IT departments to quickly and easily deploy critical client/server applications to the Web. This low-risk, comprehensive solution allows IT departments to dramatically reduce the time and costs associated with bringing development code to market. Appeon 2.5 for PowerBuilder enables developers to build an entire Web application using PowerBuilder source code. With it, PowerBuilder can be used to develop new and maintain existing applications, with the option to deploy these applications either to client/server architecture or Web architecture, or both. Borland Developers Conference 2005 – Sybase Revs Its Data Management System

"We established three main objectives for version 8.0 early in the design process: performance, easier usability and development, and the addition of key functionality that would make Advantage extremely competitive," said Chuck Vertrees (pictured center), product manager for Advantage Database Server 8.0, which was released today at the Borland Developers Conference by iAnywhere, a Sybase subsidiary. iAnywhere, a subsidiary of Sybase, has announced that McDonald's Restaurants Limited has this week completed the roll out of a solution utilising its iAnywhere Afaria software on Microsoft Windows Mobile-based Pocket PCs, to provide Operations Consultants across the UK with personal information management, mobile reporting and monitoring tools.
